Creating and funding a Coinbase account

Before creating a Coinbase trader ID for a user to connect to Coinbase, you must first create a Coinbase account and wallet at www.coinbase.com (Businesses > Exchange).

TT connects to Coinbase Exchange via a FIX connection, which provides the fastest possible connection protocol to the exchange.

Funding a Coinbase Account

Crypto spot exchanges such as Coinbase are typically “fully funded”, meaning that in order to buy or sell an asset, you need 100% of that asset on the exchange.

To fund an account:

1. On the Trade tab, deposit currency or crypto assets.
2. Click Deposit.
