Cancel on Disconnect Support

The following table shows which exchanges support Cancel on Disconnect, and whether the exchange or company administrators must configure or enable this functionality for TT users.

Persistent orders always remain working after a session disconnect, session logout, or exchange outage. GTC and GTDate orders are always persistent. If this option is enabled for an account, ensure that an LF session is assigned to the account.

If this checkbox is checked, all orders are canceled except GTC and GTDate orders. If unchecked, all orders are persisted. By default, this setting is unchecked.

An order working in the market will be inactivated 10 minutes after the occurrence of a system failure at the Exchange Participant’s site, unless the Exchange Participant has instead requested that the Exchange keep the Order active upon site failure. Following a disconnect or site failure, TT order connector will delete all inactive orders from the exchange order book upon reconnection to the exchange. Inactive orders deleted in this fashion will be replaced with local “On Hold” / “Suspended” orders in the order book.

SGX offers the following options:

  1. Keep all orders active (Day, Market, GTD and GTC orders)
  2. Inactivate all orders (Day, Market, GTD and GTC orders) or
  3. Keep GTD and GTC orders and Inactivate Day orders. For inactivation of orders, the action will only be done on the 90th second (after 2 heartbeats) from the time of involuntary logout and immediately in case of voluntary logout

Orders that have been inactivated on logout will remain inactive when the user next logs in. Following a logout (involuntary or voluntary), TT order connector will delete all inactive orders from the exchange order book upon reconnection to the exchange. Inactive orders deleted in this fashion will be replaced with local “On Hold” / “Suspended” orders in the order book.
