Creating a Kraken API key

After your Kraken account is created, sign in and create a Kraken API key and Private Key. These credentials are required for connecting to Kraken via the TT platform.

To create a Kraken API key:

1. Log in to https://www.kraken.com/sign-in.

2. Select the Security then select API.

3. Select Add Key. The add key window appears.

4. You can optionally update the Key Description with a different name.

5. TT recommends leaving the Nonce window field set to the default value of 0.

6. Under Key Permissions, enable all options under the Orders & Trades column. Under the Other column, enable Access WebSockets API.

7. Select Generate Key. Your API Key and Private Key appears.

8. Copy both the API Key and Private Key and store in a safe place. You will need both keys for Adding a Kraken Connection.

Note TT recommends users do not enable 2FA (two-factor authentication) for their API Key.
