What is LMETrader
LMEtrader is a white-label version of the TT platform and replaces the exchange-provided LMEselect software. It provides real-time market data, trade execution, and order management for traders and member administrators, with features for both web and mobile use.
Note LMEtrader offers slightly reduced functionality compared to TT Standard, with no access to TT Pro, even if the Trade Mode is set to TT Pro.
LME Specific Behaviors & Features
General
- Accessible publicly at https://lme.trade.tt and https://lme-uat.trade.tt
- Custom LME-branded login page with LME-specific color theme.
- Opens with an LME-created default workspace.
- Left-clicking the LMEtrader icon in the upper left corner directs you to the LME homepage.
- Market Explorer: The Exchange field is hidden and only allows LME products.
- LMEtrader offers slightly reduced functionality compared to TT Standard, with no access to TT Pro.
File Menu
The following items are hidden in the File Menu:
- Take the Tour
- Share as template
- Open user setup
- Download TT Uncovered
- Download TT Desktop
Widgets
- All widgets, except Market Grid, Time and Sales, and those already open in the default workspace, are singletons (only one instance can be opened).
- No access to the following widgets:
- Edit: No Counterparty Manager
- Market Views: No Exchange News
- Order Management: No Routing Rules
- Automation: Only Template Manager is available
- Options: Only Strategy Creation is available
- Miscellaneous: Only Account List, Alert Manager, and Alert Viewer are available
Strategy Creation
- Faster custom carry creation with LME-specific behavior:
- Tagged as a "favourite" in the Widgets drop-down menu.
- Calendar configuration dialog instead of a drop-down list.
- Highlighted coloring on Wednesdays, especially the "Third Wednesday" of the month.
Other Features
- Preferences: Orders page does not show "Alert on new staged order".
- Order Ticket: Price increment buttons are visible by default.
- Positions Widget: Does not allow grouping by Market, as this version only supports the LME market.

How do I access LMETrader
To avoid login conflicts when accessing both LMEtrader and Trading Technologies (TT) platforms, see the notes below:
- LMEtrader and TT are separate platforms, even if they use the same email address for login
- Passwords do not sync between LMEtrader and TT
- You cannot access both platforms at the same time in the same browser session
- Closing a tab or browser does not fully log you out — always use the Logout button
How do I access both LMEtrader and TT platforms simultaneously?
Option 1: Use Separate Browsers
- Open TT in one browser (for example, Microsoft Edge)
- Open LMEtrader in a different browser (for example, Google Chrome or Firefox)
Option 2: Use Incognito/Private Browsing
- Open your regular browser and log into TT
- Open an incognito/private browsing window and log into LMEtrader
Option 3: Use Separate Browser Profiles
Option 4: Switch Between LMEtrader and TT in the Same Browser
- Log out of the current session using the Logout button (do not just close the tab or browser)
- Wait until you are redirected to:
https://id.tradingtechnologies.com
This confirms you are fully logged out
- Navigate to the other platform and log in
What order entry methods are available?
Orders can be entered through:
- MD Trader (one-click order entry with market depth)
- Order Ticket (manual selection of price, quantity, and order type)
How can I manage my orders?
Orders can be managed through:
- Order Book (view and modify orders)
- Fills (view filled orders)
- Positions (monitor current and historical positions)
- Orders and Fills (combined order/fill management tool)
- Audit Trail (logs all order activity)
What contract types and prompt types are available?
Supported contract types include:
- Standard Futures contracts
- Monthly Average Futures contracts
- Mini-Futures contracts
- Trade at Settlement (TAS) contracts
