Euronext Overview

Euronext exchange provides access to markets in Amsterdam, Brussels, London, Lisbon, and Paris. In addition to cash and derivatives markets, the exchange provides listing market data, market solutions, custody, and settlement services. Its total product offering includes equities, exchange-traded funds, warrants and certificates, bonds, derivatives, commodities and indices. Euronext merged with NYSE Group, Inc. in 2007 to form NYSE Euronext. In 2013, the Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) completed acquisition of NYSE Euronext. In 2014, Euronext completed an initial public offering making it once again a standalone company.

  • Orders: Optiq Order Entry Gateway (OEG) using the SBE protocol (Optiq)

Euronext Trading Hours

Euronext offers seven trading phases (market states): Session Start, Pre-Open, Open, Pre-Close, Settlement, Close, and Session Close.

Unsupported Euronext Functionality on TT

The following lists exchange functionality that TT currently does not support:

  • The exchange’s Drop Copy functionality
  • Market Making Orders
  • Market Maker Protection
  • The exchange ’SuperFeed’ option
  • Value Added Price channels
  • Persistent Market On Open (MOO) orders*
  • Contingent Multiple Orders
  • Good in Session (GIS) orders
  • Displaying Index Products
  • Calculated Implied In prices for products which follow the new Event Driven Implied Matching (EDIM) model
Note:

Market On Open (MOO) is not supported on Euronext Optiq. After the market open, MOO orders behave like Good Till Day (GTD) orders and will only remain working in the market until the end of the trading day.
