TT Premium Services

TT Reserved and TT Prime

Setup provides you the ability to configure the reserved services and markets for TT Reserved and TT Prime, as well as permission your users for access to each premium service. After your servers are configured in Setup, TT will deploy, monitor, and load balance the reserved infrastructure in TT co-located data centers.

TT Reserved

TT Reserved is a dedicated resource that you can set up to run a single component of the TT platform. The server and software component are dedicated solely for use by your company and run in TT data centers.

Using Setup, you can reserve the following services:

  • Order routing — Server resources dedicated to routing your orders to your selected markets.
  • Spread trading — Server resources dedicated to executing your synthetic spreads. Only your spreads are launched to a reserved instance of Autospreader®, so no other user can enter orders for the spreads that you define.
  • Algorithmic trading — Server resources dedicated to executing TT Order Types and ADL algos in a specific data center. Only your algos are launched to your reserved instance of Algo Server, which consumes prices only from your selected markets.
  • Pre-trade risk (UAT) — Server resources providing a dedicated risk service for accounts and sub-accounts assigned to a specific server instance.

TT Prime

TT Prime is a premium version of TT's Autospreader offering that combines Autospreader and Order Router services into a single process on a reserved server. Using TT Prime provides the following benefits:

  • Inter-process communication latency is eliminated by combining Autospreader and Order Router services into a single process.
  • Because order routing and the spreading engine are on the same server, there are no additional network hops when sending orders to or receiving fills from the exchange.
  • Users of each TT Prime deployment only consume prices for the specific products they require for the spreads they trade.
  • TT Prime users do not share the machine resources with users from other firms.
  • Weekly performance reports with realized re-quote and hedge statistics.

High Availability

TT Reserved and TT Prime servers are deployed as part of a generally available cluster. If a reserved server fails, the generally available servers in the cluster automatically pick up the connections (and accounts on those connections) that were processed by the failed server. No manual intervention is needed.

In the event of a reserved server software crash, the software will restart and recover instantaneously and the reserved server will failover to a generally available server in the cluster. Once the software recovers, TT Operations will move the connections and accounts back to the reserved server. This is typically done during a trading break to prevent disruption.

In the event of a reserved server hardware failure, the reserved server will failover to a generally available server in the cluster. TT Operations will redeploy the reserved server on a new host and add it to the cluster, then move the connections and accounts back to the reserved server. This is typically done during a trading break to prevent disruption.

Disaster Recovery

If both the reserved and generally available TT Reserved or TT Prime servers for a market fail in a primary data center, TT Operations will move all connections and accounts to the generally available disaster recovery (DR) servers in the DR data center. There will likely be a trading disruption during the failover.

If you are running a reserved DR server in a DR data center, you have the option of having your dedicated instance support the failover market. However, the DR server will need to restart to begin servicing the additional market.

Ordering TT Premium services

TT Reserved and TT Prime are sold and activated at the company level by TT. If you are interested in TT Reserved or TT Prime, contact your TT Sales Manager or Customer Success representative to initiate the ordering and deployment process.

The TT Onboarding team will configure and deploy each TT Reserved/TT Prime instance as requested, or can assist you in configuring the servers for each market that you trade.
