User Roles

The Setup interface supports three basic roles for users: company administrator, view-only administrator, and individual user. Each role has access to the Setup left navigation panel and user interface, but with different permissions for using the application:

  • Company administrator — this user has full administrative rights to add users, configure risk, create exchange connections and FIX sessions, etc.
  • View-only company administrator — this user has permission to view but not edit all company users, accounts, exchange connections, etc.
  • Individual user — these users are traders, brokers, etc., who belong to or are shared with your company.

Company Administrators

When logged in as a company administrator or view-only company administrator, the left navigation panel of the Setup application contains the following tabs:

Individual Users

Individual users (e.g., traders, brokers, etc.) can login and use Setup to view their own accounts, user settings, risk settings, agreements, and account restrictions, but cannot make changes to these settings. Individual users can also access their messages in the message center while logged in to the Setup application.

When logged in as an individual user, the left navigation panel of the Setup application contains the following tabs:

  • Users — View user profile, user settings, and risk.
  • Accounts — View assigned accounts, account settings, and risk.
  • More | Trader IDs — Allows you to create trader IDs for crypto exchanges configured by your company administrator.

Account Administrators

Individual users (e.g., traders, brokers, etc.) can login and use Setup as an account administrator. A company administrator can configure a user as an account administrator to manage specific accounts. When logged in as an account administrator, the left navigation panel of the Setup application contains the following tabs:

  • Users — Displays your username and provides functionality similar to individual users.
  • Accounts — Lists the accounts assigned to you for trading or managing as an account administrator. Accounts assigned to you on the Account Administration and Users | Accounts tabs by your company administrator appear on this screen.
  • More | Trader IDs — Allows you to create trader IDs for crypto exchanges configured by your company administrator.
