Trading on Coinbase Overview

The TT® platform provides users with access to Coinbase to trade a variety of digital currencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin on a regulated exchange. TT supports the following types of users trading on Coinbase:

  • Trading firm users — These are users who are members of a trading firm, individual users who have their own "TT company" set up to trade on TT, or users who are not members of a firm but have their accounts managed by a trading firm on TT.
  • TT Crypto users — These are users who are only interested in trading the spot cryptocurrencies markets (e.g., Coinbase) using the professional trading tools on TT, and who are not members of a trading firm or being managed by a trading firm.

Getting Started

Before you begin, you'll need to do the following:

  • Create an account and add a payment method to fund wallets on Coinbase, which is a secure online platform for buying, selling, transferring, and storing digital currency.
  • Create and upload funds to an account on Coinbase.
  • Create a Coinbase API key and API secret. These credentials will be used to connect your Coinbase account to your TT account.

After completing these tasks, you'll need to set up your access to TT. The onboarding process varies based on user needs:

  • If you are member of a trading firm, an individual user managed by a firm, or have your own "company" in TT and want to trade futures in addition to cryptocurrencies, refer to Trading Firm Users.
  • If you are only interested in trading cryptocurrencies via TT and are not a member of a clearing firm or trading firm, refer to TT Crypto Users.
